| "What can I do to help preserve Louisville?" |
We're so glad you asked. Because of our form of government, citizens always control their destiny. Even when their representatives make a mess of things, we are there to save them, and us, by electing new leaders. Not all of us can run for Council. Most of us wouldn't. Those who have views similar to ours about preserving Louisville and who have the courage and commitment to run for office deserve our strong support. We can support them in many ways: Time and energy. Campaigns take a lot of time and energy. It's impossible for one person to do it all. It's amazing how much you can help a candidate just by offering a few hours of your time to pass out flyers, address envelopes, or organize other volunteers. Money. Campaigns are expensive: campaign literature, mailings, yard signs and so on cost money. Candidates contribute an enormous amount of time, money and energy to run for office and, if they win, they're rewarded by extraordinary demands on their time. Even if you don't have time to contribute, you can contribute dollars to those candidates who support controlled, not rampant, growth: Bob Muckle, Frost Yarnell, and Ron Sackett. Because this is a local election, even a contribution of $10 or $15 goes a long way. Talk to your friends and neighbors about the candidate. It's always about votes. Every vote counts. Your friends and neighbors trust and respect you. Your endorsement of Bob, Frost and Ron means more than you think. Contact us.
